Caravan & Co, Fashion Photography

1.5 Hour Photoshoot

Caravan & Co is a Wellington-based, bohemian brand with a purpose. Throughout her travels, owner, Emily Griffin, spent significant time in both India and Morocco. During her stay, she hand-picked a diverse range of one-off pieces, including her first collection (of bags) featured above. She will launch her brand at Just So Festival this February, and later, on her own website. Caravan & Co does more than bring unique, international pieces to the people of Wellington City; it also provides hope, purpose and work to those who make them.

For this shoot, Alter Ego travelled to Emily’s home - also home to her collection of beautiful bags and extensive travel finds. We photographed her bags by way of creative and warm product shots, as well as situational/lifestyle shots. We made sure that each setting, prop and outfit ran in line with the vintage, festival-styled theme of the Caravan & Co brand. To convey its essence of wanderlust and of Summer, we photographed both indoors and outdoors. Being that Caravan & Co is a client of our sister company, Alter Ego Social Media, we also photographed any other ethnic and related paraphernalia, to later be used as filler or break imagery on her social media feed. We also dressed our model in such skirts that will later be available from Caravan & Co.

This was a 1.5 hour shoot, photographed by Alter Ego Account Photographer, Deanna Walker, and directed by Alter Ego Account Manager, McKenzie Collins.
